How Do I Delete My Account?

You can permanently delete your Chivent account yourself from your account settings. Your account is scheduled 24 hours in advance, so you have a full day to change your mind before it actually runs.

Before You Delete

Download your photos and videos. Once the deletion runs, everything is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
You do not need to cancel your subscription separately — any active subscription is canceled automatically when the deletion runs.

How to Request Deletion

Sign in to your dashboard and open Account → Settings.
Scroll to the bottom to the Danger Zone section.
Click Delete my account.
Read the confirmation dialog carefully. To make sure you really mean it, you'll need to type your email address to enable the confirm button.
Click Schedule deletion.

You'll immediately receive an email confirming the scheduled deletion time.

The 24-Hour Grace Period

After you request deletion, your account stays active for 24 hours before anything is actually removed. During this time:

You can still sign in and use your dashboard normally.
An amber warning bar appears at the top of every dashboard page showing the exact time the deletion will run.
You can cancel with one click, either from that warning bar or from the same Danger Zone section in Account → Settings.

If you cancel, your account continues as if nothing happened.

How to Cancel a Scheduled Deletion

Two easy ways:

From any dashboard page — click Cancel deletion in the amber warning bar at the top.
From your email — click the "Cancel deletion" link in the scheduling confirmation email. It'll take you back to the dashboard and open the cancel dialog automatically.
From account settings — go to Account → Settings → Danger Zone and click Cancel deletion.

Any of the above works up until the moment the deletion actually runs. Once it starts (at the 24-hour mark), it can't be canceled anymore.

What Gets Deleted

When the deletion runs, everything is permanently removed:

All your events
All uploaded photos and videos (originals and thumbnails)
Your guest lists, reactions, and comments
Hashtags, albums, and pages
Event statistics
Collaborators and pending invitations
Any active Stripe subscription (canceled automatically)
Your account and login

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone once it runs.

What Emails You'll Receive

When you schedule the deletion — a confirmation with the exact deletion time and a one-click cancel link.
If you cancel — a short confirmation that your account is safe.
When the deletion completes — a final notice that your account has been removed.

Coming Back Later

If your account has been deleted and you'd like to use Chivent again, you can sign up fresh at any time with the same email — it'll be a brand-new account with no connection to the deleted one.
