Can I Approve Photos Before They're Visible?
Yes. Chivent has an upload approval feature that lets you review every photo and video before it appears in the shared album.
How to Enable It
- Go to your event dashboard and open Access Control
- Turn on Upload Approval
- Save your changes
Once enabled, new uploads from guests are hidden until you approve them.
How to Review Uploads
When guests upload, their files appear in your Media Gallery marked as pending. You can:
- Approve — the file becomes visible to all guests
- Reject — the file is removed and guests won't see it
You'll receive uploads in real-time, so you can review them as they come in during the event.
When to Use This
- Weddings or formal events where you want to curate the album
- Corporate events with brand or content guidelines
- Any situation where you want full control over what's shared
If you don't need approval, leave it off — uploads will appear immediately, which works well for most casual events.
