My Uploads Are Failing — What Should I Do?
If you or your guests are having trouble uploading photos or videos, try these common fixes.
Check Your Connection
- Make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi or have a stable mobile data connection
- Uploads over slow or unstable connections may time out — try moving closer to the Wi-Fi router or switching to a stronger signal
Check the File
- Supported formats — Chivent accepts standard image formats (JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, ...) and video formats (MP4, MOV, ...)
- File size — very large video files may take longer or fail on slow connections. Try uploading over Wi-Fi
- Corrupted files — if a specific file keeps failing, it may be corrupted. Try a different one
Check Event Limits
- The event may have reached its upload limit — check your plan's file quota in the dashboard
- The event may be inactive or expired — check the event status in Settings
Check Permissions
- If upload is disabled in Access Control, guests won't be able to upload
- If upload approval is on, uploads still go through but won't be visible until approved — this isn't a failure
